Happy Fathers Day! (Early)

WE LOVE SUMMER!! We go swimming, come home all greased up and strip down to our diaper and play some more!! :) I mean, this is the life...

I was so excited that Josh called yesterday and said that he had receieved his first fathers day gift from Jaycee when he picked her up from Daycare. I asked what it was, and he just said that I'd have to wait and see when I got home. He's such a proud daddy. He already had it on his nightstand by the time I got home and he said that is where it was going to stay! :) On the back of it, the teacher wrote, Happy Fathers Day! :)

She made the frame herself!! Her little fingers still had some blue on them!! Such an artist... :)

By far, better than any present I could have come up with!!

P.S.

I almost forgot to mention, that we are having to go do a pediatric opthamologist over her clogged tear duct that hasn't opened up. Dr. Hurlock mentioned them having to do a little short surgery where they take a probe into her tear duct to open it up!! (that made my stomach cringe). Anyways...we go on July 8th to that doctor!! So pray there is another solution! I'm sure it's one of those cases where she will do better than Mommy...

How in the world does 6 months go so fast!

I want to play Simon says with Time, and Simon says freeze!! How come when you're waiting for vacation to come, 6 months takes FOREVER, but when you want to keep your baby a little baby, 6 months flies by?!?! It's not fair! But enough with the pitty party right!?! 6 months is a really cool age for babies anyways, if i do say so myself and I know that miss Jaycee agrees. I mean you can't look much cooler than this:

We have definately been getting our swim on this summer!! The first time was horrible, and now, she will at least sit in the water and not cry. We haven't figured out that we can splash yet, but hopefully by the end of the summer, we will be a pro!

This is "her" spot. She likes to be in her float, leaned back in the shade, chewing on some links. It's the baby version of what we would call, sitting poolside with a margarita in hand! Aww, heaven!

So we went to the good ol' doctors appointment yesterday for her 6 month checkup; here are her current stats:

*She weighs 16 lbs 7 oz. That is the 60th percentile!

*She is 25 3/4 inches long. That is the 50th percentile!

*We are sitting up solo!! whoo hoo

*We are in size 3 diapers now. We are now cruisers instead of swaddlers!

*She drink 7 oz of formula 4 times a day with a nightly supper meal that includes one Level 2 vegetable and 1/2 of a level 2 fruit! :)

*She is now rolling over onto her belly in the crib and I will find her asleep on her stomach when I go in there. This just started 2 days ago. She has always slept on her side. I felt more comfortable with her on her side. :/

*If she is on her belly, she will pull those arms up and tuck those knees under her, but then she looks up at me like, "i don't know what to do with this now.." then she plummets. :)

*She has her days where I am the only one that can hold her and I am the only one that can make her stop crying. When we drop her off at the nursery at church, I now have to sneak out!

*I want to say that this child is into everything, but I know if i feel that way now, it's only going to get worse!! hahaha. But if it's in her reach...it's an option for her! She wants EVERYTHING and of course it's all suppose to be able to fit in her mouth! hahaha. She reaches and leans and stretches those arms for anything in site!

*She has been introduced to the sippy cup world. We know how to hold it, and where it's suppose to go (like everything else), but not a clue how to get the juice out. hahaha, we will get there! :)

Simon continues to say freeze......

Some new firsts! :)

I can't believe i'm actually blogging before my month is over! whoo hoo! :) We have been so INSANELY busy this month that I haven't exactly gotten just a good ol' close up picture of her, but i've got plenty of pictures of her exploring the world and trying new things! This Springer household has not stopped the past few weeks and this coming weekend is our FIRST weekend with nothing to do and no where to go, and we couldn't be more excited about it.

I'm guessing everyone has seen her professional pictures that I posted on facebook. Tara did such an excellent job with her. If anyone out there is looking for someone in the henderson/e'ville area, let me know, and she can get them done for you! Here is an example of her work:

This picture if one of my favorites. Completely looks like she's up to something that I don't know about! :)
I'll post a few things that have been a cool first for us this month!! I think I mentioned in the last post that I am JUST LOVING this age that she's in. They are so much fun! :)

This is dad and Jaycee. She doesn't look it here, but she LOVES riding on the golf cart, and of course that's my dads favorite thing to do with all the kiddos. Her and her lovely hair, actually had the wind blown look after they were done. Wish I would have gotten a picture of that! :)

Walker was so insanely jealous that we were on the golf cart and not him, but he enjoyed chasing it around and around!

This is a picture of Jaycee and Kendall. Kendall is one of my best friend's daughters. She will be a year old in July and is just so freaking cute. They are BFF's and don't even know it yet.
We had our first picnic last Friday and this is them hanging out on the blanket together. They had a good time. We also tried to get the girls in a baby pool that day. Darn it, I was so excited about the pool that I forgot to get a picture of her in her adorable bathing suit. And then no one got a picture of her trying the pool out b/c we were all so focused on getting her not to scream that the camera was the last thing in mind. It wasn't a kodak moment anyway, trust me.

And this is what happens when you eat prunes!! :) Can you see the back of her shirt?! I had a sneaky feeling this would happen, but it was the only "1st foods" she hadn't tried yet, so I had to give them a shot, and strangely enough, she loved them. This happened while I was down at my parents house over the weekend and I just screamed!! My mom and her friend, Tyra (shout out! ) and Josh all came running, while my sister didn't do anything but grab the camera! :)

And while I'm sure it was the cold water that she didn't like about the baby pool, I was wondering if it's b/c she bathes in her comfort bather and not sitting in the tub, so she's not used to be submerged (in that whole 2 inches) of water. So I have officially done away with the comfort bather and while I almost had her fall face first in the water, we have resulted to the large and in charge rubber ducky for bathtime! The beak even squeaks! We did much better in this thing. Let's hope this will help the transition into the baby pool. Mommy is determined....
